Here is what family home evening looked like at our house tonight:
We started off with a little apple picking at the apple tree in our yard...

Norah took a few bites.

Then we got them all cleaned and sliced up and ready to bake in the oven for apple crisp.
and headed back outside to play catch.

Joel has big baseball aspirations for his future, as it turns out.

Jack had a short melt-down about a certain blanket and a few toys.
Then (for the lesson portion of fhe) we all tagged along with Daddy on his visit to clean a lady's teeth at the old folk's home. Norah was a big hit (the other kids mostly looked at the fish and asked embarrassing questions like "Are these people going to die?" )

This looks like a fun evening! Julia gave the lesson on sharing tonight--she had Adam model proper sharing, so you know what has been on her mind! While she lessoned, we had some of that Mexican style flan stuff and then went outside to play freeze tag.
Your apple crisp looks divine! And your photos are beautiful. I'm getting so burnt out in the photo department I can't see any photos that I've taken lately that I like. Bleh. Nothing like apples and kids as photo fodder. Great combo!
Love it Sarah! This is perfect. Looks like a fun night. And the pictures are better than usual.
Cool FHE. Your kids are lucky to have parents like you guys.

That apple crisp looks heavenly! What a fun night!
Wonderful FHE! The apple crisp looks delicious, and I'm sure the kids will remember watching their dad perform that service.
