March

Well, March is about to end, and it's been a great one!  Here are a few of the highlights:

1.  Matt and I went on a date to see Brahm's Requiem at the CAC in Morgantown.  It was awesome!  Don't we look great with Brahm's beard on?

2.  One Saturday, we took the kids hiking to our favorite spot at Audra State Park.  The weather was perfect!

3.  One Sunday afternoon, we took the kids to deliver Easter cookies at the local rest home.  They painted pictures for all of the residents.  It was a great experience!

4.  I've been collecting "where's Henry?" photos lately.  We often have to stop what we're doing to figure out where the little guy has wandered off to.

...playing with the bows

...asleep beside my bed

...making a birthday cake out of play doh

...reading with Merrody

...having a picnic with his sisters

5.  The biggest highlight, of course, was Easter!  The Kramers came for a short visit.  It was so fun!

We went on a fun date to play tennis and out to eat with Heather and Austin.

The next morning, we took everybody to the WV Wildlife Preserve to see lots of cool native-WV animals.  The mountain lions were so close!

When we got home, Heather and I tried to take a "sister's nap" in my bed, but there were too many people coming in and out.
Meanwhile...

After dinner, we had our Easter egg hunt.  We made the older kids wait inside while Henry and Juliet had first dibs.

Finally, we set the big kids loose.

The next morning, everybody got dressed up in their Sunday best for church in Philippi.  Heather played the piano for church, and Luke and Jensen gave testimonies.  I did a musical number and Matt conducted.  It was a nice meeting.

We had a nice Easter dinner before the Kramers headed home, complete with bunny cake!

We spent Easter evening enjoying the nice weather.  Bubbles and kites, swings and Joel's new hammock from the Easter Bunny!  It was a great weekend!
