1. Merrody turned 12 this summer. She got to go to girl's camp and also to the temple. She is a good girl. We love her so much. She is becoming such a good and lovely person.
2. Hazel had her surgery again. The doctors decided it had "failed" because it wasn't any better. We think it might be some better now, though not way better. :( Here she is right before the surgery, right after (asleep with her eye wide open!), the night of surgery, and finally, the next morning.
3. My brother and sister-in-law came for a short visit to attend Joel's high school reunion. Twenty years--we are old!
4. My sister, Heather, came and stayed with her kids for a week. It was great!
5. Joel and Jack caught 8 frogs the other day. What is with my kids and frogs? They love them!
